Reporting

Tax Report

We are pleased to introduce some very important enhancements to the Tax Report. These changes which were based on user feedback, will paint a more complete picture for your tax reporting.

The top portion of the report will remain unchanged, reporting tax by Tax Table as it always has. However, additional information is now included lower sections of the report:

1. “Charges – No Tax or Untaxable”
   Gross Sales of revenue that wasn’t charged tax because it isn’t taxable.
2. “Registration – Tax Exempt”
   Gross Sales of registration charges that would normally have been taxable but were marked as “Tax Exempt”.
3. “Store – No Tax”
   Gross Sales of store charges that weren’t charged tax because it they’re not taxable.
4. “Store – Tax Exempt”
   Gross Sales of store charges that would normally have been taxable but were marked as “Tax Exempt”.
5. Totals by Tax Authority were added at the end of the report to summarize the tax collected with the tax base by each Tax Authority.

Finally, there is a new report option, “Include Tax Exempt” section. If selected, an additional section is included on the report that lists all registration and store transactions that were marked as “Tax Exempt” by the user.

PDF Export

A small but important update was made that fixed issues of reports randomly failing when exported to PDF version.

Photo-Related System Check

An update was made to remove the information-only System Check that indicated photos that didn’t have a caption. In its place, a new, actionable System Check was created that will check the Pricing Groups that are flagged to be available on KOA.com, but do not have site photos associated to the Pricing Group.

Other Development

KOA Rewards Appreciation Weekend

In order to comply with KOA Rewards program rules, a change was made in how concurrency rules are enforced when a guest is making a reservation. Now, when a guest is making a reservation on KOA.com for the KOA Rewards Appreciation weekend but already has an active reservation, they will be prevented from getting the discount on the new reservation.

KOA Rewards Labels

A small update was made to several screens that show the guest’s KOA Rewards account number. Due to spacing, the label for the “Rewards Account Number” was cutting off and only showing “Rewards Accoun….” This has been corrected.

KOA Rewards

Work continues on the KOA Rewards project as we prepare to move the programming off of the old KampSight system onto the new platform. Our work has been laid out into seven different milestones which allow the development team to focus on individual parts of the whole picture. From now until it’s released, KOA Rewards will take up most of our development bandwidth.
