Edit KOA Rewards Guest
On October 5th, we released an update to K2 that affected the ability to edit a KOA Rewards Guest record. It completely locked down the Guest record if the guest was a KOA Rewards holder. That was rolled back on October 6th.
With this release, we’ve taken another pass at it. We provided a way for users to update phone and email addresses. These changes will be synchronized back to the KOA Rewards database. However, we’ve locked down name or address fields once again. These changes must be made through one of the approved channels.
Use the following update options for the Guest name and address information:
- Send updates to feedback@koa.net. Make sure to include the Guest Name, KOA Rewards account number and the information to be updated
- Remind the guest they can make their own changes:
- Through the KOA App
- On KOA.com when they make their reservation or view their account information
- Or by calling the Camper Experience Team at 888-562-0000
This is only temporary while the KOA Rewards system is being rewritten. When the work is completed, it won’t matter where the guest information is updated, it will all flow seamlessly to the same place.
Reporting
Charge Code Analysis
An error was reported with the Charge Code Analysis report where the user would select “Totals by day” from the “Charge Report Options”. However, the report would not have the sub-totals on each day. This was found to only be an issue with the Excel version of the report. This has been corrected.
Rate Plan Comparison
An issue was reported where a Rate Group that was part of one of the Rate Plans selected for comparison, was not included on the report. This was because the Rate Group was not assigned to any days on the calendar. This has been fixed.
Other Development
Booking Chart
The Booking Chart would sometime experience an issue where the user would get a generic K2 error “an error has occurred”. This was tracked down to a unique situation where the start date for the filter was not being sent to the system. This has been corrected.
Equipment Setup
Some additional fields were updated to move from the term “Additional Length” to “Buffer Length”.
Rate Plan Copy
When adding a new Short Term Rate Plan, the ‘Copy Rates From’ drop-down should only copy rates from the chosen Rate Plan. It was also copying the other checkboxes as well as the description in the modal. This has been corrected.
Reservation – Penny Rounding
A minor bug was reported for those who use Penny Rounding. When making a deposit on an upcoming reservation paying cash, clicking the Apply Payment button produced the ‘overpayment message’. It should not. It was fixed so that if the amount paid matches the total amount with Penny Rounding turned on, we will not bring up the Payment Confirmation modal for the deposit overpayment.
Max Length Override
An issue was found in the Max Length Override modal in a certain situation. The length being shown in the modal was the Max SITE Use Length instead of the Max EQUIPMENT Length. It was only an issue with the wording in the modal, not the functionality. This has been corrected.
Select My Site
There was an issue reported from an individual campground that the Select My Site (SMS) programming was not using the correct lock code. This was in part a setup issue with the campground that reported it but also an issue with programming. This has been corrected.
KOA Rewards
Work continues on the KOA Rewards project as we prepare to move the programming off of the old KampSight system onto the new platform. Our work has been laid out into seven different milestones which allow the development team to focus on individual parts of the whole picture. From now until it’s released, KOA Rewards will take up most of our development bandwidth.
