Copy Between Short Term and Long Term
With this release, we’ve provided a step forward for copying reservations between short term and long term.
Previously, a reservation could only be copied to the type of the original reservation. Wherever the copy function is available, the user will now be able to choose whether to copy the current reservation to a new short term or new long term reservation.
Guidelines:
- The ‘Copy Reservation Credit Card’ will still come up, depending on the presence of a credit card in the original reservation.

FUTURE development:
This copy functionality does not address two additional scenarios that have been requested from users:
- Converting an Upcoming reservation to a different type (booked under the wrong pathway) and
- Converting an On Site reservation to a different type (guest decided to become a monthly after staying a few nights short term).
These items will be addressed with future development.
Reports
Cash Over/Short Report
An issue was reported that the download to Excel was not working and would produce an error. This was due to a special character the system was putting in the name of the file that Excel didn’t accept. This has been corrected.
Reservation Comparison Report
A bug was reported with the Last Year date that prints in the heading of the report and there were issues with the data. These issues have been fixed.
Other Development
Rounding on KampStore Receipts
An issue was reported for KampStore receipts. The screen would show the correct amount, but the receipt itself would be off a penny due to rounding. This has been corrected.
Book Reservation Receipts
An issue was reported when booking a reservation for short term or long term with NO DEPOSIT taken. The system would produce an error. This has been corrected.
Performance Improvements
Several areas were updated behind the scenes to improve performance using caching. These areas included the Home Page, the Bookings Chart for Pricing Group and Site information, KampStore payment buttons, KampStore Express Items, LTS and STS Reservation forms for Referrals, Ages, Site Classes, Equipment, Lock Codes, and Rate plans. No functionality was changed; performance was improved in these areas.
Work Kamper Cards
Our process to synchronize our guest database with the VKR database has been updated to ignore Work Kamper numbers. This was done to eliminate some issues that were caused by those numbers being present on the reservation.
Maintenance Window
We have established a maintenance window in K2 that will follow the already established maintenance window for K1. The system will not be available during these times frames which will allow for system maintenance on the K2 system. The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesdays: 1:30am to 2:30am (MST); users will be given a 60 minute advanced warning on the sign on screen.
- 2nd Wednesday of every month: 12:00am to 4:00am (MST); users will be given a 120 minute advanced warning on the sign on screen.
- All other days: 1:30am to 2:00am (MST); users will be given a 60 minute advanced notice on the sign on screen.
